Laura

Saw many changes in her life,

A hundred and three last birthday hit,

An artist admired,

An artist loved,

Broke her hip,

Then family decided her fate,

No longer free,

Raised a son and a daughter,

Lost a husband an a husband,

Her daughter in law one of her daughters and good friend,

Loved to play cards and cook,

A Postville gal,

Postville Iowa, was in Good Sam there,

This year it closed off the Waukon,Iowa’s Good Sam,

It kills me that such a great life will succumb the the plague if our time,

Bet her family never let her down,

Bet if she was falsely accused of harming someone then her daughter in law might come forward and so it wasn’t so,

Laura Zidlicky would have stood up to my older half sister who slandered me,

She loves all her grandchildren, and they her,

We will know by Sunday if Laura will survive,

I hope when her time comes its after Christmas,

Laura my dear friend, deserves one more family gathering,
