Jumping,
Have you ever watch a cat,
Teddi dangles a paw,
Whether its for courage or to size up the jump,
Then with perfect accuracy,
Leaps with grace and agility,
Sophie does it very seldomly like she has regressed into that okady of the silver screen I envision her as when a kitten,
Grey calico’s are devine in their grace and annoyance,
She mostly does it to any and foes,
Stomps all over the books I’m in the process of reading,
To where others leap to,
The other day I saw Teddi our black and white tux cat sit on the back of the electric chair and think at Sophie watch this cat!
Your’e not a Southern bell your a regal pussy cat,
And without further adui and no drum roll,
With grace and accuracy,
Teddi glided through the air,
It was magical!
Put me in my mind recalling the family I was nine,Ellen six and my first nephew Robert John Cook was an infant and I didn’t know until I was ten Diana was a monster,
Nor until I was twenty-four Diana was a half sister,
Diana’s first last name was Halfner,
Nana introduced me after church as Valerie Halfner,
Thought she had gone Loopy,
Well anyway,
We had gone to Cedar Rapids,Iowa,
We saw Ringlings Brother’s circus the Red unit,
A real live three ring circus,
Dad loved circus’s and fireworks,
Tight rope performers were nearly as graceful as my cats,
Instead of going to where Sophie Sleeps she stumps over books I hope to sell,
Then from a distance will glide to her spot while thinking,
Teddi your so vain!
Niw the kitten not yet a month and a half is less graceful,
Chester is more or less a scutter,
Chester scoots toward the edge ,
Its so comical,
Then at the edge just falls onto the pink rug,
Maybe in time she will be mire at ease with her feline grace,
Others just do it and get it done.
