Last three days to hot even to sing,
Three a.m. brought cold through the fan,
I was pulling on my little flannel blanket,
Five thirty the bare trees outside my duct tapes window birds stilled by excess heat sing,
Funny when to hot for you to hot for.Iowa birds too,
Ninety-six degrees new high,
I’m sixty-four ninety-six is
May twelveth hottest Mat day in my life,
Global warming is real,
When I was a kid,
Weekly Reader predicted glacier melting due to our ocean temperatures rising,
Funny they said it would occur in our childrens lifetimes not ours,
Sad science was scarily wrong,
December fifteenth,twenty-twenty-one northern Iowa suffered our first EVER winter tornado!
Early March twenty-twenty -two northern Iowa winter still thriving we had our second winter tornado,
Vinton a little town not far from Independence Iowa a trailer court was leveled ,
When you hear leave your mobile homes,
But there is no place safe to go,
We stay put with our animals and hope for the best.
Sixty-nine at six-thirty-one a.m.
A friend in the Bay area is still wearing winter jackets,
Cold winds off the Bay,
Mother nature is pissed,
