Food Bank People

F.B.P. look down from their lofty towers,

I wanted to volunteer,Independence Iowa,

Wore my favorite black sweatshirt, the pockets ripped some,

What does that matter,

Last sweatshirt mom gave me,

The woman kept going on about being clean,

No dirty or ratty clothes,

And no eating off shelves while there!

I was hurt,

I was belittled by goodie goodshoes Food Bank lady,

Too funny for words,

I have done charity,

Most that volunteer get food there,

Most food banks cripples like me did sitting work,

I have never been accused of eating food not mine.

I will never ask to do free work again,

No one really cares for those of us food is for.
