Forged from thought

Like Field of dreams,

A small Iowa town,

Loads of beauty,

Artist a plenty,

Mr Pitman,art teacher extrodinare,

Only person not connect to my community I outted myself to him,

Mr. Pitman didn’t loose a beat,

With all the signs of a Gay man living within the closet,

He read my poetry

My sock,

My out poem,

Waukon,Iowa several locations including a basement was our library,

Loved book sale buy a book for a thin dime,

A book collector was made,

Collecting treasures in the blood,

Like a relic

Like a dragon,

This cunning wolf awaited the rumors,

A library this way comes,

Plans were made,

Nothing set like Arthur’s sword in stone,

Land was bestowed,

Small fortune was donated,

Two friends the collector poet and the lady,

Katrina best friend a poet ever had,

Before she retired,

Lady Katrina hung my poem on her desk,

Before Katrina retired to California,

Waukon Library Board,

Erected our first computerized library full of writers thoughts.

Named for my favorite teacher in high school,

Taught me poems came from an artist heart,

Poems didn’t rhyme as much as speak a poets truth.

Mrs. Roby my eternal friend,

Now an old dear friend works there,

Marge Harris so much fun,

Marge blesses all who know her simply by spending time with her,

Like Waukon Iowa’s shinning star,

A place where dreams are formed,
