Tonight as I came home,
Two wings were a flying,
Geese away,
Veering out there,
Northern Iowa,
Twenty twenty one running a month ahead,
Early March we had seventy weather,
Short sleeves and Tee shirts,
If not fast bizarre,
April was nice
End of May winter returned,
Heating bills rose,
Why because it was turn up heat or freeze,
Bills were chunking,
Alliant Energy always adds money to our bills anyway,
June was like living in a sauna,
Literally,
Birds of a feather,
Storing over,
Trees still green,
Fifteen blossoms on my Tomato,
Tons on my cucumbers,
I hope the geese were just practicing,
Limbering up,
Lake hopping,
It’s cool down,
Still flies live,
I want with all my heart to tap my toes at a pow wow,
Look for rocks on the edge of Lake Superior,
Stand by on a doc,
Have a lady beside me when I fish,
Sit with our firfamily and cuddle,
Snuggle while the Green Bay Packers play,
Cook popcorn on my cook stove in our kitchen.
Upon a wing,
Upon a prayer,
Peace I will know once more!
When the girl who love Wisconsin is home.
