Have you ever been accused of being a bigot?

I was eighteen,

First time so very far from home,

From Waukon,Iowa,

At Fort Jackson,Columbia S.C.

Prt.Jan Gooseberry stood for me ,

Sad on friends loose eachother in life,

I wish I knew she was alive,

Had much happiness,

Lots of love and children,

Her grandma sent Jan a sweet potato pie,

It was awesome,

Except for all the Babe Ruth bars we all ate,

The top the food in D Company Mess,

We graduated into the US Army July 28th,1978,

Thanks again, pal.
