Pidgens in Waukon,Iowa

My home town,

Church steeples loaded with bird droppings,

First the town leaders just at the decision to put out posin,

This was in the 1990’s ,

Town council all jumped at the idea,

Cat were eating,

Families loved cats,

Cats were dying in record numbers,

See it was the poison,

Pooh was less in bell towers,

Residence were in tears,

Our beautiful furry friends were perrishing,

Then another meeting was assembled,

New idea Prairie falcons,

No posin was needed,

The bigger bird ate the pidgeons,

Occasionally the Prairie falcons would take a smaller cat.

On tge whole.the residence were pleased,

No ones momma cat died.
