Wal-Mart yesterday,

A fine strapping young fellow,

Farmer by trade,

Farmer by design,

In Iowa today most who farm,

Farm big,

Farmed long,

Farm successfully,

There he was,

Heaving up second huge cat food bag,

So I love talking to strangers, most will talk to me,

Zooming around on a cart,

I say ‘So how many cats have you!’

The lad said a bunch and at least five litters,

I personally hate cats to have to live on farms,

Cows kill simply by rolling over,

He told me its not just him,

His neighbor feeds the cats as well!

Heroes to cats are not common,

I just wanted to hug,

The gentle spoken,

Hard working ,

Farmer.

Iowa’s not only state blessed by lovers of the land,

So thankyou one and all,
