When I was a kid books were Tangable,
That’s the way I like them,
Those are the only books I read,
Older then a year,
Fantastic phraseology,
Vocabulary that allows me to comprehend,
A teacher can teach,
Teachers share a love,
I studied to teach,
I understand variances and curve,
Testing was a jumble,
So three years ago I thought read,
I met a retired kindergarden teacher today,
A thousand e-books has she,
My office is laden with books in totes,
I read for fun,
I read to teach,
Plan to sell one day books,
I’m a poet and a journalist writer learning to write fiction,
I’m converting to lesbian fiction,
What I read thoughts of my peers,
Knowledge drives me,
More I read stronger I become as a scholar learning to write fiction,
Growing up I was the dreading being called on.
Standing up expectant on those near to poke fun at me,
Hate bullies,
I like those that read,
Love those that step past where others assume we need to remain.
Those of us not blessed with children,
Me I wanted a hoard,
I wanted a woman who wanted, children
Never mind,
Titles on a page,
Ebooks huh,
Cemetaries full of unwritten volumes,
The heavens open,
Shine down,
Dreamers,
Never enough time,
Writers strum time,
Sing a little ditty.
Clutch a book to your heart,
That's palpable,
Weekly readers were other kid books,
Extra funds were never asked for,
Books are what should be free to all not internet,
College class rooms are full of laptops,
Many in class minds on Facebook,
Parents should keep their money,
Youths parents dealing out big bucks,
Heads not interested in the game,
Educations not Facebook.
